Cashew Nut Resin / Friction Particles

For over 50 years Palmer International has been an innovative chemical manufacturer and supplier to the friction material industry.  Palmer International offers a wide portfolio of products based on core strengths in Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL).  Current manufacturing facilities location in US and UK.

Some of Palmer International's milestones:

1959 Began supplying friction particles, rubber and resins to automotive industry.
1981 Established Palmer (UK) Ltd. reflecting company's evolution into a global supplier.
1990 Established Advanced Composite Technologies (ACT) Division supplying damping laminates and insulators to eliminate noise and vibration in automotive brake systems.
1998 Commissioned the most advanced distillation plant in the world for separating fractions of Cashew Nutshell Liquids.

Products

Friction Particles

 · Palmer International is the world leader in the production of friction particles for automotive and heavy duty industrial brake applications.  Manufacturing sites in the United States and England provide a wide range of additives that are custom formulated for use in asbestos, semi-metallic and NAO brake formulas 

(ACT) Advanced Composite Technologies

 · This division of Palmer International develops sound damping materials used in the reduction of automotive brake squeal.  A constrained layer technology is provided to the marketplace as laminated coil or stamped insulators.  ACT materials are used worldwide on passenger car and light truck applications.
Resins
 · The unique functionality of our cardanol and cardol molecules makes them candidates for developing innovative resins and resin modifiers.
