PRODUCT AND SERVICES

NUCAP designs and manufactures an extensive line of Disc Brake Backing plates, Disc Brake Hardware and NVH Insulators for both Original Equipment and Aftermarket Friction Manufacturers. NUCAP’s NRS (NUCAP Retention System) is setting new standards for retention and shear in both standard and heavy-duty disc brake backing plates. To answer the growing demand for NRS, NUCAP has established NRS licensees in both Europe and Japan, providing a global coverage through the market leaders in Disc Brake Backing Plate Manufacturers in each of these markets. Nu-Blanking, a NUCAP-developed conventional stamping process that delivers fine-blank tolerances in critical plate abutment areas is currently being adapted in O.E., with the first program launched back in 2002 and an increasing number of platforms over the years. NUCAP’s NU-Lok™ shim attachment method is an updated shim mounting system that supersedes substandard or non-performing Shim locator and adhesions systems.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

In our 11-year history, NUCAP has delivered a constant stream of new product initiatives and designs to products, tooling and manufacturing methodology. These initiatives have generated solutions for the production and design challenges that a growing number of Brake Systems and Friction Manufactures face, and have driven our rapid growth,. This history of innovation has allowed us to establish a number of patents for our technologies and garnered NUCAP the prestigious PACE award in North America, an award program for Suppliers to the Automotive Industry, for innovation in products and methodologies. NUCAP has launched their most recent initiative with the introduction of plans to house a fully functional product Research and Development centre. As of Q4-05, NUCAP has acquired a Friction Performance Dynamometer as well as a fully instrumented test vehicle. Both have been in commission running testing calibrated to Link and SAE standards.

QUALITY STANDARDS

ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 9001 Certified, NUCAP meets all established Quality Protocols for automotive part manufacturing in North America. NUCAP has established both at-machine checking and standards protocols and robust oversight and quality analysis methodologies. NUCAP growth into the provision of O.E. parts has made the formalization of NUCAP’s inherent internal commitment to quality a necessity.
