After many years of experience with friction material, we have developed a solid body of know-how in many different fields. Our field of expertise includes production, process engineering, research and development, quality management, project and cost management, the planning of factories, purchasing and more.  Our experience and expertise is the result of our long-term commitment to international friction material engineering and research and development with activities all over the world.

Frimatec was founded in March 25, 1995. It was the first company worldwide, offering Know How in the field of friction material, without being a producer by itself.  We wanted to become, and we are now, partner of friction material producers, machine and equipment suppliers and raw material suppliers worldwide.

Our success with customers worldwide allowed us to built our own premises in Recklinghausen/ Germany where we moved in beginning of 2002.  In our Pilot Shop we fabricate friction material samples for customers based on our developments of new material and new processes.
We are able to arrange/ run all necessary tests for all kind of friction material tests and certifications.

To give you just an example, we developed a new process for the production of friction material products with very stable quality and short production time. This process is patent protected in many countries; for example in:

Frimatec's large resource of formulas and processes for many friction material applications is the base for our custom tailored solutions. There is no "one best solution" for all customers - the specific conditions each customer has in its own plant and region needs to be considered and the formulas and technology has to be adapted to it.

Frimatec experts will visit you and make sure that all your specific needs will be considered.

We develop AM and OEM asbestos free materials for:

 ° Disk brake pads for passenger cars (front and rear brake)
 ° Linings for passenger cars
 ° Blocks for CV applications (heavy duty trucks, trailers etc.)
 ° Disc brake pads for CV applications (heavy duty trucks, trailers etc.)

Production
   
 ° Frimatec's Service Standards for Customers with a Consulting Service or Technical Cooperation Agreement

Frimatec's Consulting Service or Technical Cooperation Agreements for the development of formulas with or without master mix and processes etc. includes generally the following detailed service for our customer:

1. The formula has listed all raw materials in weight percentage.
2. With the formula (with or without master mix) Frimatec will hand over to the customer the raw material specifications with:
 ° The technical description of the material.
 ° The necessary test procedures if needed for the quality control of raw material.
 ° The supplier (s) of this raw material with telephone number, fax number and contact person (if available).
3. Frimatec will hand over the complete mixing instruction with all necessary steps.
4. Frimatec will hand over the working instruction for molding and oven curing.
5. Frimatec will hand over important test data made during the development of this formula if it is requested by the customer.
6. Frimatec will run tests for the customer to test and approve new local raw materials if needed and if they are locally available. For all materials belonging to this contract Frimatec will do it free of charge. The extent of this service is specially mentioned in each contract regarding the men power, cost etc.
7. Frimatec will reserve enough capacity in the lab of Frimatec. The kind of service is defined separately in each contract regarding the men power, cost etc.
8. Frimatec will train the staff of the customer in Frimatec's lab if requested or needed. The volume of this service is defined in each contract regarding the men power, cost etc.
9. Frimatec will make together with the customer the start up in production in the plant of the customer. The volume of this service is defined in each contract regarding the men power, cost etc.
10. Frimatec will run extra tests and special development in the lab of Frimatec for the customer with a special price. The normal charge for the Frimatec’s service is higher.
11. Frimatec will make service for TÜV approvals for ECE-R90 or others with the special price for our customers.
12. Frimatec will assist the customer in the market in Europe if requested to find new markets for their products with the special price for our customers.
13. Frimatec will help the customer for engineering, improvements of equipments and production processes if requested with the special price for our customers.

Supplies are for example:

 ° Friction raw materials and / or -sources for all kind of friction material products
 ° Ready to use mixes, granulate or powder for all kind of friction material products
 ° Anti-noise shims for all kind of references with different materials
 ° Anti-noise shim material in coils
 ° Anti-noise friction compounds for special applications
 ° Water based adhesive for disk brake pads and drum shoe linings
 ° Back plates for passenger cars and commercial vehicles

I you need complete Friction Material ready for using or Master Compound's which you could use in combination with your local material - we are able to deliver it to you.
