In The News 25th May 2004 - Brake Testing International Ltd Accredited as a Technical Service by the RDW BTI Ltd are pleased to announce their accreditation as a Technical Service (Laboratory) by the RDW, to perform testing to the requirements of Braking Regulations and Directives EEC 71/320 rev 2002/78, ECE Regulation 13 Amend 09, ECE Regulation 13H, and Replacement Brake Linings Directive EEC 71/320 rev 2002/78 and ECE Regulation 90 rev 1/01. The RDW is the competent Administrative Department (Approval Authority) for the Netherlands able to grant approvals for vehicles, technical units and components according to EC Directives and ECE Regulations as mentioned in the Directive 70/156/EEC and the 1958 Agreement of the Economic Commission for Europe of the United Nations. Braking Approvals granted against testing by BTI Ltd are given under the E4 / e4 approval number. BRAKE TESTING INTERNATIONAL LTD provides independent, full-scale inertia dynamometer brake testing services to OEM’s, Tier One and Tier Two suppliers in the motor cycle, automotive, commercial vehicle, rail, and motor sports industries. The company offers its customers a full range of testing for product development, E4/e4 Braking Type Approvals (as an Accredited Technical Service for the RDW), performance characterization, life cycle durability, and NVH on full size inertia brake dynamometers ranging in inertia from 6 kgm^2 to 2000 kgm^2 with speeds up to 3000 rpm.
