BRAKE TESTING INTERNATIONAL LTD is led by a very strong management team with extensive international experience in the braking and friction industries. The team is headed by Rod McLellan (Chairman/Managing Director) who has 25 years technical experience in the friction materials industry, most recently as Director of Research and Development with Carlisle Motion Control Industries in the USA, and previously as head of Heavy Vehicle Brakes Research and Development with BBA Friction Ltd in the UK.  Dennis Moran brings over 30 years of experience in the friction materials industry to the team as past Managing Director of TMD Friction Ltd, past Chairman of the British Friction Material Council (BFMC), and current Chairman of the Federation of European Manufacturers of Friction Materials (FEMF). The team benefits from the international business expertise of David Hillcoat, previously a director of Courtaulds Textiles plc, International Fabrics Division, who has 20 years of successful multi-national business leadership experience. The management team is completed by the participation of Doug Brown, a highly respected businessman, and well known as a supplier to the global friction materials industry.

BRAKE TESTING INTERNATIONAL LTD is currently able to offer its customers testing for product development, Type Approval (including ECE Regulation 90), performance characterization, and life cycle durability on two full size inertia brake dynamometers ranging in inertia from 23.8 kgm² to 2000 kgm² . The company is able to offer testing to industry standard procedures and can on request develop bespoke test protocols for individual customers. A further high-speed, high powered, motor sport capable double ended brake dynamometer is currently being installed, and will be available by mid-year to increase the Company’s range of specialist brake testing services.
