Job Description:

The Sales Engineer is responsible for gaining a new customer base, obtaining and analyzing detailed information on our customers; coordinating with customers for program management and following up on production and delivery.

Essential Functions

Market Analysis and Planning:

 • Collecting information on the customers' organization and decision making process
 • Collecting information on the competitors relating to the customers
 • Analyzing and defining the customers
 • Assisting in the development of marketing plans, business plans, sales strategies, and action plans

Sales:

 • Wining new-business programs
 • Coordinating all sections relating to on-going business programs and new-business programs
 • Cultivating a good relationship with the customers
 • Providing data or the information to prepare, update, and control forecasts covering projected new-business sales, bookings, proposal activity/costs, and investment requirement by customer and program

Program Management:

 • Participating in new product meetings offering information on the customers' requirement
 • Monitoring progress of each program
 • Coordinating interaction among all internal sections to meet the customers' requirement

Quotation: 

 • Preparing quotations, and terms and conditions
 • Negotiating with buyers and persuading them to accept the quotations

Production Follow Up: 

 • Observing significant increase or decrease of orders of the customers
 • Following up on customers' requests / issues,
 • Coordinating the delivery schedule for the immediate orders
 • Assumes other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Experience and Background:

 • Minimum five years sales or marketing experience with a manufacturer, preferably, an automotive parts supplier.
 • Experience in the Engineering field is also preferable.
 • Must be proficient in German and English
 • Must have technical knowledge of brake systems
 • Must be able to travel to US, 4-6 times per year and travel to customer’s locations

Education:

 • Bachelor’s Degree required
