9th January 2012 - Gorilla Brake & Components Buys States Friction Assets

Gorilla Brake & Components, Inc located in Ontario, Canada has purchased the assets of States Friction located in Salt Lake City Utah.

GBC has been able to maintain the current workforce providing continuity for the customers and employees and a January 16, 2012 launch date. The company will operate under the name Gorilla Brake & Components, West.

“We are excited about the opportunity to expand our services to markets in the west” says Andre Lalonde, President of Gorilla Brake & Components.

We will offer top quality, coined, lined re-manufactured shoes, new shoes, and a line of top quality, related components. Our current offering includes automatic slacks, chambers, disc pads, AXN landing gear, AXN trailer axles, wheels and drums.

We offer a variety of quality friction materials in conjunction with our supply partners Stemco, Marathon, Brake Pro, Abex and GB.

Gorilla Brake doesn’t just sell parts, we work hard with our customer to grow their sales by working with their sales force and fleets customers to determine what best suits their markets and applications.

We hope to have a 3rd location located in the Southern States in early 2013.
