15th March 2010 - Melling Announces Purchase of Rush Metals

Melling announces the purchase of Rush Metals – Billings, OK, a subsidiary of Cloyes Gear and Products, Inc. – Fort Smith, AR. Final closing took place on March 12.

Rush Metals manufactures a wide variety of sintered metal products serving the automotive, industrial, agriculture, and aftermarket automotive components industries. Rush Metals has been in business for 45 years, the last 30 as a Cloyes company. Melling plans to rename the facility Melling Sintered Metals.

“We are pleased to be offered this opportunity,” stated Mark Melling, President and Chief Executive Officer. "This business provides Melling an opportunity for some additional vertical integration which fits well with our overall growth strategy.   We are also quite impressed with the facility, their strong processing skills, and the diversity of the customer base. And of course, we are excited to welcome the management team and employees of Rush Metals into the Melling family
