14th August 2009 - Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems Enhances Aftermarket Customer Website

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC has re-launched the Bendix Webshop, www.bendix.biz, its password-protected Web site for direct Bendix aftermarket customers, with a sleeker graphic look and feel, plus a number of enhanced features to improve efficiency, better tracking of orders, navigation, and ease of use.

"Bendix is committed to improving efficiencies and productivity opportunities for our aftermarket customers," said Robert Johnson, vice president of aftermarket sales and marketing at Bendix. "We received valuable feedback from our customers about our e-commerce-driven Web site, and incorporated what we learned to expand the functionality, including more efficient search capabilities. The result is a better overall experience for our customers, helping them save time by offering one convenient stop for their order, core, and warranty needs. The enhanced search functions, as well as many other upgrades, allow for greater flexibility for our aftermarket audience when they are using www.bendix.biz."

The Bendix Webshop is a secure Web site providing online ordering and the ability to check core reports and warranty claims. The site also features a full Bendix product search engine, giving users the ability to order online and check the price for a product along with its availability.

The upgrades enable customers to search a full catalog of Bendix products from every page of the Web site, allowing them to search and receive vital product information with just one click, saving valuable time. The added functionality of uploading a text file directly into the www.bendix.biz system – rather than the previous manual method of entering each line item – allows for a more streamlined process for Bendix customers.

Other improvements include a more robust online order status system, providing customers the capability of viewing the status of every order, including those entered offline. Customers also can view each line item of the order to determine its specific status, improving their efficiencies. Core reports – both current and historical – can now be viewed in multiple ways to allow customers immediate access to information.

"Being a strong business partner means we want to offer every opportunity to improve productivity, speed, and access to information. The latest round of updates does just that. It’s just the first phase of a robust improvement plan for the Bendix Webshop based on the needs and continued feedback from the aftermarket," Johnson said. "We value our customers and look forward to offering them additional opportunities that will enhance their experiences with Bendix."
