16th February 2009 - Technofriction Offers Unique Variable Radius Grinding Machine for Blocks

Technofriction offers a unique Variable Radius Inside Surface Grinding machine for Truck Brake Blocks with production capacity of  180 blocks per hour.  The machine is of European origin.

Grinding Radius can be adjusted in a step-less manner from 140 mm (min) to 210 mm (max).  Block size is restricted to 260 mm x 250 mm ( L x W ). Final radius  is achieved in two passes (forward and reverse stroke), as a result minimum heat is developed during grinding and no distortion of set dimension is observed.

Because the grinding head has adjustable diamond cutters, there is no need of stocking dedicated Diamond cutting wheels for different applications.

Adjustable cutter makes it possible to use the same manufacturing mould for a number of Brake Block references whose inside radii are close to each other.  After market suppliers can readily meet demands for odd sizes from stock pads.
