17th November 2008 - Honeywell Friction to Introduce JURID® Brand to North America

Jurid Brake Pads Original Equipment on Several High End Vehicle Models

In the first quarter of 2009, Honeywell Friction Materials will be launching the Jurid® brand in North America, for its traditional aftermarket warehouse distributor customer base. Part of the Honeywell portfolio in Europe, the Jurid brand dates back more than 90 years and has a significant presence in both the original equipment sector and the independent aftermarket.

A wide range of coverage will be made available to key North American-based customers for installations on popular European vehicles, including Audi, BMW, Volvo, Jaguar, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz and more.

“It’s a great time to introduce our WDs to the Jurid brand,” said Jim Kelley, director of Sales and Marketing, Bendix U.S. “Not only does it enable us to help meet the needs of the changing car parc here in North America, but also showcases our global OE expertise with our aftermarket customers in this region.”

Honeywell Friction Materials, a business unit of Honeywell International Inc., is headquartered in Glinde, Germany. Serving both original equipment and aftermarket customers, products offered include Bendix® and Jurid® friction materials and hard parts.

Honeywell International is a $37 billion diversified technology and manufacturing leader, serving customers worldwide with aerospace products and services; control technologies for buildings, homes and industry; automotive products; turbochargers; and specialty materials.

Based in Morris Township, N.J., Honeywell's shares are traded on the New York, London and Chicago Stock Exchanges.
