23rd January 2008 - ArvinMeritor Appoints Sherry Welsh Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Light Vehicle Systems

ArvinMeritor, Inc. announced today that Sherry Welsh is appointed vice president of Sales and Marketing for the company's Light Vehicle Systems (LVS) business group. She will be responsible for leading LVS' global sales and marketing strategy.

Sherry's prior successes leading global sales and marketing initiatives within the automotive industry will make her a valuable addition to the LVS team," said Phil Martens, president of LVS. "We are capitalizing on aggressive growth opportunities in emerging markets with profitable expansion plans. Sherry's past experience fits well with our strategy to increase penetration in Asia Pacific, which is one of our fastest-growing markets."

Welsh's prior experience includes 20 years with Robert Bosch, LLC, where she most recently served as senior vice president of Sales. In this role, she was responsible for increasing business with Asian OEMs and total relationship management with all Asian OEMs, BMW, and medium- and heavy-truck segments. Welsh holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, and a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Engineering from Lafayette College in Easton, Pa.

She is an active member of the Marketing and Sales Executives of Detroit, Mentium, and the Ohio State University College of Engineering Strategy Council.
