October 2007 - Wolverine Advance Materials to Open Manufacturing
Facility in Changshu, China
Wolverine Advanced
Materials LLC, an Eaglepicher Company, (Wolverine) in conjunction with
Wolverine Korea Co. Ltd., today announced a new manufacturing company,
Wolverine Press (Changshu) Co., Ltd. in Changshu, Jiangsu Province,
China. The Wolverine Press facility will open in January 2008.
The new 34,500 square
foot factory for metal forming and progressive stamping of rubber coated
metal (RCM) will produce original equipment brake shims as well as noise
damping products and gaskets. The new stamping facility will meet the
needs of existing customers while increasing Asian finished parts
capacity.

announce the expansion of Wolverine’s global manufacturing footprint,”
says President Scott Koepke. “A manufacturing presence in China presents
a great opportunity for Wolverine to better serve our customer base in
the rapidly expanding Asian market. We are now able to provide our new
technology to our local markets in short lead time.”
The addition of this
factory will further advance Wolverine’s capabilities and existing
presence in China. Wolverine already has a sales and service center in
Shanghai and a warehouse distribution center in the WaiGaoQiao Free
Trade Zone. Changshu is one of the largest steel importing and
processing cities in China.
