7th August 2007 - Link Testing Laboratories Announces Moving Vehicle Test Operation to New Location in Allen Park

Detroit, MI Link Testing Laboratories announced that their vehicle test operations will move to a new location in Allen Park, Michigan. This expansion is the result of the continuous growth of this critical component of Link Testing Laboratories. This new facility, at 17100 Southfield Road, will provide much needed room for expansion of vehicle preparation, metrology laboratories, and office space. With over 27,000 square feet of space, this facility provides room for considerable growth.

Link Testing offers a wide range of vehicle testing services and all of these will be supported in this new location. The majority of the current programs include vehicle preparation and instrumentation, test operation, data analysis, and reporting. LINK always strives to customize services for the maximum benefit to the customer. In some instances, LINK only does the vehicle preparation or only the data analysis and report generation. LINK excels in working in collaboration with the customer to insure the maximum benefit is achieved with outstanding efficiency.

With this facility LINK will continue to provide industry standard tests such as Detroit Suburban Traffic (DST) tests, regulatory testing such as FMVSS and ECE Standards, and proprietary testing for specific customers. In addition, a full range of other services are offered including management rides, benchmarking, and the development of new test procedures. With secured agreements for access to specialized proving grounds in the US and Europe, LINK can provide a wide range of customized test capabilities.

It is anticipated that operations at this new facility will be fully underway early this fall. A grand opening announcement will be forthcoming in a few weeks. As Joe Wells, LINK’s General Manager of Vehicle Test Operations noted, "This facility is a new chapter in the expansion of LINK’s testing services. The Allen Park facility represents not only more space, but the opportunity to offer new services including innovative approaches to asset management."

LINK TESTING LABORATORIES is an acknowledged leader in providing vehicle and component testing services for the automotive, commercial vehicle, and aerospace industries. With facilities at eight locations in the US, Germany, and Korea, LINK can provide comprehensive testing solutions around the world. The primary testing focus includes friction materials, braking systems, driveline components, wet friction materials, and transmissions. In addition, the Link Engineering family of companies offers test systems for many of the same industries from vehicle data acquisition systems to aircraft dynamometers. www.linkeng.com
