9th May 2007 - NUCAP Industries Inc. Acquires All of Brake Related Assets of Comercial Jope, S.A. of Spain

NUCAP Industries Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of all the brake related assets of Comercial Jope, S.A. of Spain.  Comercial Jope is a leader in the manufacturing of brake components consisting of dampening shims, hardware and electronic indicators.

The assets will be assumed by JOPE Europe S.L., a wholly owned division of NUCAP Europe S.A. and will continue to operate out of the existing Egues, Spain facility.  Mr. Fernando Moreno will be retained as Shims & Accessories European Manager and will report to Mr. Eduardo Unzu, General Manager of NUCAP Europe.

All existing technical, manufacturing and quality key staff will also be retained.

This acquisition continues to develop NUCAP's strategy of being a single source component supplier to the global friction industry.  JOPE's products will now be introduced to NUCAP's customers in the Americas and Asia/Pacific, in addition to expanding its European offering with products produced in NUCAP's Americas facilities.
