6th March 2007 - Federal-Mogul Will Close Two Brake Parts Plants

It has been reported Federal-Mogul will close two Missouri USA manufacturing plants by December.  These plants, located in Midtown St. Louis and Berkeley, make brake parts.  The training center and administrative office in nearby Wellston are not affected by these closures.

Last year Federal-Mogul announced plans to close 25 facilities and cut 10 percent of the company's overall work force.

The Missouri Department of Economic Development has been notified by Federal-Mogul of potential layoffs at the Midtown location, but have not been informed about the Berkeley facility.

It has been announced Federal-Mogul will be offering job training for displaced workers.
