28th February 2007 - Rick Pizarek Named Vice-President, GM for Affinia UVG Asia Operations

Based in Shanghai, Responsible for Under Vehicle Group Asia Sourcing

Affinia Group Inc., a global leader in the on- and off-highway replacement parts and service industry, has named Rick Pizarek as Vice-President and General Manager of Asia Operations for Affinia’s Under Vehicle Group (UVG). Based in Shanghai, Pizarek will be responsible for Affinia UVG sourcing activities throughout Asia.

“Due to his work in leading the recent restructuring of our drum and rotor product offering and his significant experience in China, Rick is an excellent choice for this assignment,” said Rick Levin, Vice-President of Operations for Affinia UVG. “In his new role, Rick (Pizarek) will work closely with our Global Procurement Team as we develop a supply base in Asia.”

During his career, Pizarek has served as Division Manager for Affinia’s McHenry, Ill. manufacturing operation and Director of Manufacturing for the UVG Drum, Rotor and Foundry Group. Previously, he served with Allied Signal for 16 years in a variety of management positions, from sales and marketing to engineering and operations.

He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Indiana University. Pizarek has been a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers for 28 years and is active in a number of community organizations.
