13th November 2006 - Bendix Trailer Air Brake Systems Added to Large Refrigerated Trailer Fleet Bendix Trailer ABS-6, Valves and Cyclone DuraDrain™ Comprise Package Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC has announced that components from its comprehensive line of trailer air brake systems have been added to a major food service distributor’s fleet of refrigerated trailers. Bendix will supply its TABS-6 (trailer antilock brake system), SR-5™ spring brake valves and Cyclone DuraDrain™ trailer water separator on this fleet’s new trailer purchases starting in the fourth quarter 2006. Volume is anticipated to exceed 1,000 units annually. The Bendix® TABS-6 system is a scalable ABS technology designed with robust performance and diagnostic features despite the fewest electrical connectors of any other system. This fleet’s 2S/2M (two-sensor, two-modulator) configuration features an integral five-pin connector that eliminates the need for a pigtail harness and two connectors. The Bendix® SR-5™ valve and related air valves provide premium performance under extreme conditions and in the presence of air line contaminants commonly found in trailer systems. The Bendix® Cyclone DuraDrain™ trailer water separator removes water, dirt and insects from control and supply lines before they damage valuable downstream components. Collected water is automatically purged while two stainless steel screens sift out the solid contaminants.
