26th September 2006 - Terry Shively Named Vice President Strategic Market Development for Affinia Group

Emphasis on Expansion for Global On- and Off-Highway Replacement Parts Company

Affinia Group Inc., a global leader in the on- and off-highway replacement parts industry, has named Terry Shively as Vice President for Strategic Market Development.

Terry comes to Affinia with broad experience in the automotive aftermarket and a successful career in management, engineering, marketing and sales,” said Terry R. McCormack, Affinia President and CEO.  “In this newly created position, Terry Shively will concentrate on strategic opportunities that can serve as extensions of Affinia’s core strengths today.  In addition, Terry will analyze potential relationships and revenue sources beyond our established channels.  Filling this position with this kind of talent is one piece of Affinia’s overall initiative to bring new and bigger thinking to bear on our business.”

Prior to joining Affinia, Terry served as Vice President and General Manager for Clevite Engine Parts, a division of Dana Corporation.  With complete profit/loss responsibilities, Shively oversaw 12 facilities and all operational areas of the division, which had $200 million in annual sales.

Shively worked with Dana Corporation for more 35 years in a variety of management roles, including Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations for the Automotive Aftermarket Group, Vice President of Marketing for Wix Filtration, Product Planning Manager, Director of Sales and Marketing and numerous other positions.

An affiliate member of the Society of Automotive Engineers since 1973, Terry holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University and attended the University of Michigan Business School Executive Development Program.  In addition, Terry is a holder of three U.S. patents in product design and is a past president of the National Engine Parts Manufacturers Association.
