13th September 2006 - Brake Parts Inc. Announces Raybestos® Brand Brakes “Pit Crew Member for a Day” Sweepstakes

Brake Parts Inc. announced today the Raybestos® brand brakes “Pit Crew Member for a Day” sweepstakes promotion for professional services technicians and counterpeople. The “Pit Crew Member for a Day” sweepstakes will send a professional services technician and a guest and his counterperson and a guest to a 2007 NASCAR Nextel Cup event, where they will be honorary Robert Yates Racing pit crew members.

“The ‘Pit Crew Member for a Day’ promotion is designed to reward counterpeople and professional service technicians for their loyalty to Raybestos brand brakes and in the process move 100 sets of premium brake pads and rotors per promotion site,” said Ken Myers, marketing manager of branded products.

Prizes for the 90 day sweepstakes, running from September 1 – November 30, 2007, include:

 • Two grand prize trips for two to one of Speedway Motorsports, Inc., six major speedway facilities during the 2007 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series as an honorary Robert Yates Racing pit crew member. One technician and one counter person will win a grand prize;
 • Two second place winners (for installers only), will win a replica M&M’s Racing Helmet autographed by Robert Yates, official M&M’s racing apparel, an M&M’s 1/24 die cast car autographed by Robert Yates, and an autographed Raybestos Rookie of the Year litho print;
 • 150 third place winners (75 installers and 75 counterpeople) will receive a Raybestos Racing prize package including a Raybestos NASCAR cap and items such as XM Radios and Weber grills, along with an autographed Raybestos Rookie of the Year litho print.

Every time a counterperson sells a set of Raybestos premium quality brake pads or rotors, they will provide the installer with an entry certificate to the sweepstakes. The entry form includes space for the counterperson to enter their information. When the technician submits the entry form, the counterperson who sold the product will be entered in the sweepstakes as well.

Warehouse distributors should order promotional kits number 06RAY119 through their normal distribution channels. The promotional kit contains a certificate for four sets of Raybestos® brand brake pads, 100 sweepstakes entry certificates, a counter card to hold the certificates, a point-of-sale poster and store dangler.
