6th September 2006 - TMD Friction: Historic Brands Given New Design

TMD Friction at Automechanika in Frankfurt  / Newly designed packaging, catalogues and brochures for the Textar, Pagid and Mintex brands

The TMD Friction Group, one of the world's leading manufacturers of brake friction parts, will present the new brand design of Textar, Pagid and Mintex to its customers at Automechanika in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). Packaging, catalogues, brochures and flyers have been given a new layout.  "The modern layout and high quality of these new marketing materials are representative of the innovation and engineering excellence of TMD Friction, with products that meet the highest requirements in safety, quality and comfort", said David Baines, Director Replacement Marketing & Business Development, at the internal presentation of the materials at the company's headquarters in Leverkusen. The internationality of the company is reflected in the languages available: "For most of the markets in which we are represented, we provide the language concerned." The transition to the new marketing material will be a gradual process.

The new brand design is reflective of the global orientation of TMD Friction and of the many markets in which the brands have a strong presence. The Textar brand maintains a position as the worldwide premium brand with original equipment qualities. The Pagid brand will continue as an aftermarket leading brand with a strong portfolio of original equipment materials and a clear focus on high-performance vehicles.  Pagid will also maintain the pedigree of an OE racing brand and brake pads for ceramic brake discs are one of the highlights at the Frankfurt trade fair. In this segment, TMD Friction has numerous original equipment releases from car manufacturers such as Mercedes Benz, Audi, Porsche, Bugatti, Lamborghini and Ferrari. Mintex, the brand for the global aftermarket, is presenting its Mintex Xtreme product for tuning applications at Automechanika. Don, a commercial vehicle brand with a long original equipment history, is also represented in Frankfurt.

In the coming week, TMD Friction will show visitors and customers from all over the world an extensive and interesting overview of its passenger car and commercial vehicle product range. This will be demonstrated through product display, literature and a new and innovative multilingual multimedia presentation. Each day customers will be given the opportunity to register for a prize draw to win a state of the art Apple iPod.
