Mid-America Show Attendees Receive Special Pricing Offer

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC introduced an interactive air brake system training CD that will debut at a promotional rate during the 35th Mid-America Trucking Show. The interactive CD can be completed in approximately three hours – either in one session or multiple sessions – by finishing six modules that contain learning exercises and quizzes. Additional features include Bendix service data sheets, Adobe® reader access and a personalized progress tracker. After completing the modules, a final exam is given. The test results are submitted to Bendix, and a Certificate of Completion is sent to the trainee.

During the 2006 Mid-America Trucking Show, the air brake system training CD will debut and be available for a promotional rate of $30. After the show, the training CD will be available for $50 by visiting www.bendix.com or by calling 1-800-AIR-BRAKE (1-800-247-2725).

The interactive CD provides individual or group-based training opportunities that best fit user needs and expands access to the popular field-based Bendix® air brake training program.  The CD curriculum content remains tailored to both new and experienced technicians and will cover the fundamentals of compressed air, as well as air system failure mode diagnosis, tactics and troubleshooting.

“The Bendix air brake system training CD provides technicians another option to receive certification, helping fleets and owner-operators decrease their downtime and service costs. In addition, it is a great opportunity for those who can’t afford to be away from the shop for three days or are located too far from a training site,” said John Reid, SWAT team manager, Bendix.  In addition to the air brake system training CD and class, Bendix also offers a new day and a-half Foundation Brake training class. Class size is limited, and enrollment is on a first-come, firstserved basis. Specialized, on-site fleet training also is available.

The cost for Bendix air brake training school is $200 per attendee ($300 in Canadian funds), and the Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake training school costs $150 per attendee ($200 Canadian). All course materials are provided. Lunch is included when the class meets for a full day. Transportation and lodging is the responsibility of the student. Dress code is casual.
