27th March 2006 - Bendix Air Brake Products Named Standard Position on Reitnouer Trailers

Bendix Trailer ABS-6, Cyclone DuraDrain™, Slacks, Valves, Spring Brakes part of package

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC has entered into a long-term relationship with Reitnouer, Inc. to supply a complete package of air brake systems and components as standard equipment on Reitnouer Trailer’s entire product line.

Bendix will supply its Cyclone DuraDrain™ trailer water separator, SR-5™ spring brake valves, and TABS-6 (trailer antilock brake system), as well as Bendix® brand ASA-5™ automatic slack adjusters and spring brakes from Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake LLC for Reitnouer’s entire production of premium aluminum flatbed trailers.

Reitnouer is the first OEM to install the innovative Bendix Cyclone DuraDrain trailer water and debris separator as standard equipment. It’s also the first standard use of ADL (auxiliary design language) to enhance targeted aspects of the vehicle’s functionality. ADL is a unique patent pending customization feature that leverages the computing power and capacity of the Bendix® ABS-6 electronic control unit (ECU) to monitor vehicle operation and activate customized special functions, such as lift axle actuation and tire pressure monitoring, while providing normal ABS capabilities.
