22nd March 2006 - Mintex Makes a New Stand on Brake Accessory Kits On 4 March 2006 TMD Friction announced the range of Mintex brake accessory kits has been relaunched with the introduction of a useful display stand for Mintex distributors, striking new packaging and an important message. The stand is designed to display 50 accessory kits, 2 kits for each of the 25 most popular applications. The new packaging echoes the latest, and arguably most eye-catching, styling Mintex has yet developed. A look which is also destined to soon be carried onto its famous red boxes for brake pads and other products in the range. It’s essential that spring-clips, caliper-bolts and other accessories are regularly replaced to ensure safe and effective operation of a vehicle’s braking system. These parts form an integral part of the vehicle's braking system and are subject to the same wear and stresses as the other brake components. They should be replaced frequently to avoid the possibility of failure. Richard Gleghorn, UK Sales Manager (Car Products) for TMD Friction (UK) Limited, explains; "The new Mintex display stand enforces the message that these are safety-critical parts. Garages have a responsibility to their customers to replace the accessories whenever they fit new brake pads and shoes to ensure long-term safety, it’s a responsibility we take very seriously and we feel we have a duty to promote." The full range of Mintex brake accessory kits covers 13,500 vehicle applications, with part numbers for each application listed within the Mintex catalogue.
