18th January 2006 - Capital Tool & Design Adds Two Executives to their OE Program

Capital Tool & Design Limited is pleased to announce the addition of Michael Popa as OE Quality Manager and Adam Vacca as OE Program Manager.  These two positions have been created to assist and further develop CTD’s growing OE business.

Michael Popa comes with over 20 years of Tier 1 and Tier 2 OE quality management experience.  At CTD he will maintain the quality standard for the OE/Fine-blank division and lead the effort to initiating TS 16949.

Adam Vacca comes with over 6 years of Tier 1 OE product launch experience.  At CTD he will be the customer technical liaison, responsible for coordinating production design and development.  He will serve as overall facilitator for the delivery of OE programs.

These two additions show further commitment to the OE business by CTD who previously announced moving into a new OE production facility in 2006.  This new state of the art facility will be the showcase for the consolidated OE operations as well as distribution and head office.   There will be 83,000 square feet dedicated to fine-blanking OE disc backing plates.  This will include 8 fine-blank presses and a dedicated 14,000 square foot tool room containing the latest equipment used for building and servicing fine-blank dies.  All OE finishing operations will also be relocated to this facility.  Opening of the new building will be May 2006.
