9th November 2005 - Affinia Group Wins Automotive Communications Award

Affinia Group Inc. won a national Automotive Communications Award (ACA) for its new corporate newsletter that provides the company’s more than 13,000 employees and numerous key stakeholders with a global perspective on Affinia’s family of automotive aftermarket brands and programs.

Affinia received the Automotive Communications Award in the business-to-business category for the debut issue of the company’s quarterly newsletter, One, which was released in conjunction with the opening of the new Affinia corporate headquarters in Ann Arbor, Mich.

“We launched the newsletter as a complement to our ‘one team, one result’ philosophy and our strong belief that our collective effort is what drives our success in providing superior service and performance to our customers around the globe,” said Scott Howat, director of corporate communications for Affinia Group, which was formed in December 2004. “That spirit of collaboration and teamwork not only guides the way our Affinia aftermarket team does business, but also reflects why this newsletter was developed and the worldwide effort involved in its production. We are honored that our newsletter was recognized by our industry colleagues with an Automotive Communications Award.”

The Automotive Communications Awards, presented by the Car Care Council Women’s Board and the Automotive Communication Council, honor excellence in automotive aftermarket advertising, communications, public relations and marketing. In its debut issue, which was developed by a team of Affinia communications specialists from 16 locations worldwide, Affinia shared information from its Under Hood and Under Vehicle Groups, details of the Affinia leadership and communications teams, information about consumer awards presented to Affinia, and highlights of the company’s motorsports involvement.
