Under Vehicle Group Releases 2006 Training
Center Schedule
The Affinia
Under Vehicle Group has released its 2006 schedule for Raybestosฎ brand brakes
and Spicer Professional Grade Chassis training classes. All classes will take
place at Affinia Under Vehicle Group, which is located approximately 50 miles
northwest of Chicago in McHenry, Illinois.

COURSE TC-100
| BRAKE SYSTEMS DIAGNOSIS & REPAIR |
| Duration: 32 Hours Fee: $480 |
| An extensive four-day curriculum for the
advanced technicians or quick study that includes classroom and hands on
instruction. The program includes hydraulic braking theory and brake system
dynamics. This course includes diagnostics and trouble shooting techniques.
Repair techniques and preventive maintenance practices will be covered
extensively. Drum and rotor resurfacing techniques, along with bench and
on-the-car lathe operation and maintenance will be covered. We will review
brake noise and solutions, and friction material will be covered. |

| ASE BRAKE TEST PREPARATION |

fluids, ABS operation, and MAP guide lines. Test questions and practical
lab exercise are used to help reinforce knowledge. |

late model service installation procedures. Diagnosing and correcting total
indicated run-out with a variety of methods including indexing rotor-to-hub,
brake align shims, on car lathe, and traditional bench lathe. Learn proper
lathe equipment setup, machining, and maintenance. Understand cause and
effect of brake noise and review noise solutions. An excellent review and
update for the seasoned technician or apprentice. |

systems. The systems include Kelsey Hayes RWAL, ZPRWAL, RABS, 4WAL,
EBC310/410, GM Delphi VI, and Teves Mark IV/20, Diagnostic equipment,
service strategies and wiring schematics are the primary focus of this
course. Instruction includes hands-on with todays popular hand-held
scanners. |

features four days of in-depth ABS instruction and is recommended for
individuals who have had previous brake training or have completed course
TC-100, TC-104, and/or TC-106. Discussed topics include Hydraulic theory,
Electrical theory, and electronic control components. ABS systems include
Teves II, Mark IV and 20, Bosch 2U and 5, Kelsey Hayes EBC 4, 310, 325, and
410, Delphi VI and EBC-7, Bendix 6, 9, and 10. Traction control systems will
be discussed in relationship to the ABS controllers. DVOM and SCAN tools
will be used to diagnose system faults. |

is designed to be fast paced, and very informative. The technician will be
exposed to little known and mostly unpublished service, diagnostic, repair
information and procedures that have been field-proven by experienced
