7th September 2005 - Altech Engineering Co. Restructured as Friction Technology Inc.

Altech has been restructured to enable the company to move forward and provide our most favored clients with Altech high quality friction brake manufacturing machines and most importantly effective pre-sale and post sale, engineering, spares, and service support.

Altech remains solvent and is an operational entity to ensure all creditors are compensated.

To overcome high liability insurance costs and to resolve other liability issues and be more cost effective it was necessary to change the name of the company to Friction Technology Inc. (FTI). All of the Altech rights, intellectual property and technology have been transferred to FTI. All Altech machines manufactured by FTI and sold outside of North America will still bear the Altech name and logo. Within North America the machines will carry the new FTI name and logo. FTI will continue to offer standard Altech warranties on all FTI made Altech machines.

The original owners of Altech are the current owners of FTI. We have also retained the essential people in engineering, production and outside service support to ensure the on-going manufacturing of Altech machines and after sales support.

In addition we needed a building with higher tonnage cranes and larger milling and boring mills to enable us build larger Altech machines. The new location allows us to meet these new demands.

Please note our new company name (Friction Technology Inc.) and communication addresses, telephone and facsimile numbers. The email and web site will remain the same for the time being.
