21st July 2005 - Brake Pro Introduces Ultra Long Life Friction for Vocational Fleets

CCM2425™ (originally CM24-3™) and severe transit version CCMT2429™ friction material have been introduced by Brake Pro Ltd. specifically designed for 25,000# GAWR vehicles operating in difficult vocational applications such as refuse applications and for GAWR of 26,000-29,000# for transit applications.  Brake Pro has developed the CCM2425™ friction formula to address the unique requirements of brake block operating in these harsh environments.   The CCM2425™ product, identified with a metallic gold edge color, is a member of Brake Pro’s CCM™ family of application-specific friction products recommended for safety and value conscious fleets.

The CCM™ formula developed by Brake Pro combines (3) leading edge formulation concepts into one brake lining:  Conformable, the compressibility of the brake lining, provides greater surface contact; Cohesive, transfer film technology, enhances the compatibility between lining and drum; and Metallic refers to the unique metallic fibers added to provide superior thermal capacity and diffusivity allowing the brake lining to run cooler.  Fleets choosing application-specific CCM brake linings from Brake Pro experience longer maintenance intervals due to longer drum and lining life as well as superior stopping performance.    For more information about the company and its products, call 1-770-422-1650 or visit www.brakepro.com or Brake Pro on ifriction.com

Brake Pro, Ltd, the 3rd largest and fastest growing heavy-duty friction manufacturer in North America, is recognized as the market leader in severe-duty friction products.  The company is a highly focused manufacturer of heavy-duty friction only for trucks, trailers and specialty vehicles.  Brake Pro, Ltd. has manufacturing, R&D and distribution facilities in Toronto, Canada with North American Sales and Corporate offices located in Kennesaw, Georgia.
