8th July 2005 - Terry Heffelfinger to Join Affinia's Under Vehicle Group Product development expert Terry Heffelfinger has been appointed Director of Product Planning for Affinia’s Under Vehicle Group, effective July 11, 2005. “A degreed engineer and seasoned veteran in product management, Terry is the perfect person to take our Raybestos product offering to the next level,” said Jerry McCabe, Vice President of Communications and Marketing Services for Affinia. “He will be the chief steward of our product strategy and he’ll be the driving force in keeping our “first to market” status secure.” Heffelfinger comes to Affinia from Tenneco Automotive, where he most recently served as director of product engineering and marketing. Heffelfinger’s previous roles at the company included director of product services, chief engineer and group product manager. Prior to Tenneco, he held engineering management and product design positions with Prestolite Electric in Toledo, Ohio. “In his work with Tenneco Automotive, Terry played a vital role in new business development. He led their efforts in launching several new products, primarily for the Walker brand, which helped the company regain significant market share,” McCabe went on to say. “Not only does he have the proven marketing know-how to launch new products successfully; Terry also possesses the engineering background and expertise to lead our product development efforts. A graduate of Indiana State University, Heffelfinger holds a Bachelor of Science in Automotive Engineering, and is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers. He and his wife, Nancy, will be relocating to the McHenry area later this year.
