7th March 2005 - Honeywell Friction to Close Lynn Haven Florida Production Facility The News Herald newspaper announced on the 3rd of February 2005 that Honeywell Friction will close its Lynn Haven Florida production facility by the end of 2005. It also added that the company is in negotiations with U.A.W. officials to close their Cleveland Tennessee facility by the end of 2005. The News Herald stated that Honeywell Friction had seen significant losses in its original equipment manufacturing business at the Lynn Haven facility. ifriction.com has learn the business will announce additional reductions in various support functions across North America, as well as its Troy, Michigan headquarters. Honeywell will continue research, development and engineering at Troy to support its current, and future, North American aftermarket and OE business. These actions are being taken to reduce the overall cost structure of the friction material business of Honeywell. |
